St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church

The Finance Council consists of 6 to 10 parishioners who, as advisory council to the pastor, work with the pastor and the business manager to plan, provide for and supervise the financial affairs of the parish. The Finance Council’s concerns lie within four broad areas:

• Effectively utilizing parish resources;
• Budgeting and controlling expenses;
• Church support and income; and
• Maintenance of buildings and grounds.

The council carries on its duties by coordinating the annual budget, reviewing income and expenditures and preparing periodic financial reports for the parish.
