What is Eucharistic Adoration?
The importance and beauty of our Marian devotion seems to be lost amidst the business of our daily lives.
Does Mary still hold an important place in our spirituality?
If so, how do we truly tap Her role as Mother amidst our already busy schedules?
During this afternoon we will discuss and share the role of Mary in our lives, so come and join us as we reflect that Mary is not only our model, but also Mother.
And because of this there truly is something about Mary worthy of our consideration.
Fill your home with the spirit and love of the Christmas season. Fresh balsam and mixed noble fir wreaths and other holiday decorations are available for purchase after all masses on this weekend, November 28/29. Proceeds from the sale help support the work of the The Women’s Centers of Greater Chicagoland with offices in Chicago, Des Plaines and Evergreen Park.
This Advent, St. Mary of Vernon Parish will cooperate in an evangelization initiative called Catholics Come Home to welcome back Catholics who have been away from the Church. The Archdiocese of Chicago and the Dioceses of Joliet and Rockford have joined together to fund this evangelization effort which will use TV commercials that will air December 16 to January 24, 2010 on ten major networks in English, Spanish and Polish. Over that time the average TV viewer will see a Catholics Come Home commercial 13 to 20 times.
